Zhirair Gevorgyan, Leading Researcher at the Theoretical Physics Division of the A. I. Alikhanyan National Science Laboratory and Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, together with Senior Laboratory Assistant Vigen Gareyan, has published a scientific article entitled “Strongly Energy-Dependent Transition Radiation in a Photonic Crystal.”
The study investigates how charged particles moving at relativistic speeds emit radiation when passing through media with periodic layered structures, such as photonic crystals.
The results showed that the radiation intensity exhibits a pronounced dependence on the energy of the particles, particularly at certain angles.
