On February 17, a seminar titled “Topological Solitons and Their Microscopic Foundations” was held at A. Alikhanyan National Science Laboratory.
The seminar was presented by Danial Saadatmand, who leads the grant “Integration of Foreign Scientists into the Scientific Community of the Republic of Armenia 2025/2” at the AANL Department of Quantum Technologies.
The speaker presented the theoretical foundations of topological solitons and the main approaches to their microscopic description, and then discussed his recent research on the formation of solitons in atomic chains and their interaction with phonons.
