On October 7, a seminar by Professor Jarah Evslin of the Institute of Modern Physics in Lanzhou was held at the A. I. Alikhanyan National Science Laboratory (AANL) on the topic “Quantum Oscillons.”
During the seminar, the characteristics of oscillons—long-lived oscillatory solutions encountered in classical field theory—were presented, as well as their study within the framework of quantum field theory.
The speaker addressed previous assumptions regarding the lifetime of oscillons and presented research results showing that the incorrect identification of the lowest energy level of their quantum states had led to inaccurate conclusions about the decay of oscillons.
